Carolyn Jacobsen

As an art educator and artist, Carolyn Jacobsen is continuously striving to enhance her goals for competence in creative work, scholarship, research and teaching. Her artwork consists of work in watercolor, acrylics and mixed media on paper, as well as canvas. Her work represents her everyday experiences and observations of favorite objects, places, shapes and textures.

Carolyn holds a B.F.A. and MAEd from the University of Nebraska at Kearney where she is currently a member of the adjunct faculty.

She has exhibited extensively in Nebraska and has been featured at the Governor’s Residence, Minden Opera House and Museum of Nebraska Art among others. Her artwork is included in the collections of the Museum of Nebraska Art, the Department of Art and Art History at UNK and the Minden Public Schools, as well as many private collectors.

Carolyn is a member and past president of the Kearney Artist Guild and also belongs to the Association of Nebraska Art Clubs. Her work may be viewed at
